The derelict petrol station on North Road could be demolished to make way for shops and flats.
The Huddersfield Examiner is reporting that Developer Bayswater Ltd hopes to build a mini precinct on the site of the former Jet service station, on North Road, Kirkburton.
The site was formally owned by Tesco which had hoped to build a Tesco Express convenience store.
If Bayswater’s plans are approved, the proposed single structure will house four shops with back room offices on the ground floor.
Upstairs there will be four one-bedroom flats each with a bedroom balcony overlooking woods to the rear.
There will also be 13 parking spaces.
